2018: New Shit from Elway, The Brokedowns, The All Brights!

Did ya know we’ve updated our releases section? Yep. Now you can see our majestic catalog in all its glory. You can also stop asking about it. We think 7 years to update a website is perfectly acceptable. #PunkTime

We’ve put out some more feel-good tunes this Spring/Summer to help you cope with the fuckers and Trumpers and pigs. It started with Elway’s For The The Sake of the Bit out in early May. They did a badass tour with Dead To Me and we made a stupid video for them. Actually, the video has beers and bears, and there ain’t nothing stupid about that. They have more shows and festival gigs coming, so that’s cool.

Next is The Brokedowns with their third Red Scare album, Sick Of Space. These Chicagoland wisenheimers are getting weirder and better as the years go by and we also made a stupid video for them too. Two stupid videos, actually! They’ll be rolling joints and playing shows in 2018 and beyond.

Lastly we have something from those idiots, The All Brights. It doesn’t get much Whiter than these bougie beach bros, and they’re calling their latest release, The White Album EP. That doesn’t even make any GODDAMN SENSE, but it’s out just in time for Summer and it totally rips. Get it on Bandcamp or iTunes or Spotify or whatever, brah. We had to make a video for them too because they all have lawyer dads up our ass.

The Latest And Greatest On Red Scare: Guerilla Poubelle and Red City Radio!

Late last year we added some famous Frenchman to the Red Scare family: Guerilla Poubelle! These three messieurs are the kings of Paris punk and are respected all throughout the scene. Singer Till is also a très magnifique tour guide and he will take you to bars in the Rive Gauche where you can hang out with R2-D2 and sit on the Iron Throne. Their Red Scare debut is called La Nausée, and it’s 13 songs of dark, throat-ripping punk. They play lotsa shows in Europe and at some point we will be smuggling them into America, so look for that.

Our next release will be an EP from the mighty Red City Radio. It’ll be available as a CDEP, 12″ vinyl, and digitally, of course. 21 minutes of new music from maybe the best punk band going right now, and you can get it online on March 9th or pre-order it for May. We’re honored to be able to help these Okies bring their music to more people, and to make things that much sweeter, they’ll be joining The Lawrence Arms and Sincere Engineer on a BADASS tour in April and May.

As for other new shit, we can only hint at it… but the hint is that we’ll have new releases from Elway, The Brokedowns, and The All Brights coming at ya very soon. That’s a secret though, so no squealin’, ya hear!?

Sincere Engineer + the League Of Nations Tour!

Y’all hear about the latest addition to the Red Scare family? It’s Chicago’s Sincere Engineer! Deanna has been a long-time comrade of the label and her hard work and new music have earned her a well-deserved spot on the roster. What else do we know about Sincere Engineer? Well, Deanna works in a lab, she made “Spincere Engineer” fidget spinners for merch, and she’s got a big hometown record release party and is playing The Fest as well. She’s assembled a badass band of Chicago boys and feeds them popcorn, Thai food, and Sprite. No trans fats for these rockers, no way! Their debut release, Rhombithian, comes out October 20th, and you can pre-order the CD/LP or get it from Bandcamp. Very exciting stuff is happening for this young project!

Speaking of new releases, you deserve a peek into what’s coming: The Brokedowns are nearing completion on a new LP; there’s a new EP from The ALL Brights that’s gonna have to wait until the waves are JUST RIGHT; Seattle’s Success are about ready to get off their ass and bust out an album; and Elway has recorded a new thing, but are gonna take their time mixing and perfecting it. You should be thinking 2018 for all this shit.

Last bit of business is a tour we’ve worked real hard on: the League Of Nations Tour with our international comrades, MakeWar and Good Friend. It’ll be the first time in the States for the Irish lads of GF, so please welcome these young bands when they come through your town. See the dates and behold the art below!
