New records, who dis?!

You hangin’ in?  Good.  Us too.  We don’t update this slick $200 website very often (see “the socials” for daily dish), but we wanted to congratulate Broadway Calls for releasing consensus Album Of The Year in 2020.  Bravo, gents.  Maybe next time try doing it when there’s NOT an apocalypse, eh?  There was also a Cobra Skulls re-release, the Midwest Duress split EP, and new stuff from the Irish lads, Good Friend.  A banner year, really.  Best ever.  10/10.  Moving on, haha…

So now that 2021 has blessed us with its presence, we have new stuff coming from our new Cleveland comrades, Heart & Lung, something fun from Chicago legends, Sludgeworth, and even a couple new ones from Brendan Kelly.  Our old friend Sam Russo (by old, we’re talking maybe 2,000 years?) dropped a surprise release of punk-y hits.  Dan from The Falcon plays bass on it, so you know it rips.

Most recently we had the honor to bring you a new record from the legendary Lillingtons.   It’s an important release for all of us, and the band talks about it here.  We generate a lot of goofy nonsense and buffoonery at this label in an effort to keep the good vibes coming your way, but this is one of those records where we’ll let the music speak for itself.  It’s a special one and you can hear more of it here.  Proceeds to benefit The Lifeline.

Red Scare > Poser Plague Virus Thing

We had big plans for 2020. In fact, we were poised to become the biggest and best record label in the world. Then, just as we were about to seize the top spot… this COVID bullshit happened. So it goes. Let’s start at the beginning: January. We released a new one from Paris powerhouse, Guerilla Poubelle. The DIY kings of l’Europe! Those guys have a certain, how do you put it… je ne sais quoi about them? Up next is our man Sam Russo and his third album for us, Back To The Party. Ol’ Sammy has really wowed folks with this record and people say it’s his best yet. He made a video for the kids at Riot Fest and then made an even better video to show off his ghostbusting side. You didn’t know that about Sam, did you? You just look at him and see a stereotypical British Wizard. Shame on you.

Most recently we just dropped a surprise EP from The Lippies and the folks at Bust Magazine tell the story. We’ve also released a new 2-song single from the great Broadway Calls. You can go hear that on all the digital thingies and expect a full length in July. It’s the best record we’ve put out in years, so there’s that.

That’s all for now, comrades. Look after each other and stay strong. We’ll be partying at shows with ya very soon!

2019: RS15. 2020: More good stuff!

So the label is 15 years old. Based on the appearance of this website, more like 150 years, amirite?! Ahem. I know we may LOOK young and beautiful and timeless, but the truth is we’ve been bangin’ away at this for a while. Most of you have been with us the whole goddamn time, so we gotta do something special now and then to show our love, ya dig? A couple months ago we announced a compilation to celebrate the milestone, and now it’s here: Red Scare Industries: 15 Years of Tears and Beers. Fifteen all-new, unreleased tracks for ya. It’s available on CD, LP, Bandcamp, etc. etc. We’re rolling out a few videos over on our YouTube channel, and we also posted this fun “track-by-track” if you wanna read about how this thing came together.

So now that we have solidified ourselves as the most vital record label of all-time… what next? Well shit, dawg, we got more new stuff coming, of course! Our old comrades, The Reaganomics, have some new stuff coming and they’re always a hoot. It’s looking like we’ll have some tasty punk en français in January from Guerilla Poubelle. Red Scare’s favorite Suffolk geezer, Sam Russo, is finishing up his third LP, and that should be out early 2020. Plus the new homies, Broadway Calls, are about to record their next album too. SHIT IS HAPPENIN’, y’all. Stay updated by following our socials. Heck, we even got off our asses and made a @RedScareIndustries Instagram account. Hashtag blessed.
