Masked Intruder on Red Scare + Lillingtons redux!

Hey friends, once again Red Scare is bringing you some good news in the world of classic-sounding pop punk. Sometimes the sub-genre can be real frustrating, but every once in a while a band like Hanson Brothers or Teenage Bottlerocket comes along and pays proper tribute to our great forefathers, The Ramones. We honestly feel that Masked Intruder is one of those few, special bands to adequately honor their good name and follow in their footsteps… problem is, they’re criminals. No really, Masked Intruder are four total goombahs who met behind bars and formed a punk band. We ran a background check and we’re not sure where they’re from, who they are, or what they did to end up in the joint. To be honest, we don’t really care to delve into their shady past, we just know that their band is really fucking good and that THEY ONLY WRITE IN ALL-CAPS. With songs like “Gimme Parole” and “ADT Security”, we’ll be bringing you the digital release of their 5-song debut EP, First Offense on March 6th; while Wisconsin’s Hang Up Records will be handling the 7″. Furthermore, they’ll be doing time (hardy har) at Atlas Studios in April for a full length.

In other good Ramonesy news, we’re happy to announce that we’ll be doing something (kinda) new with our old friends, The Lillingtons. We’ve teamed up with those lovable hermits to bring you an updated version of their criminally-underrated album, The Backchannel Broadcast. It’s getting a major facelift: new artwork and an up-to-date mastering job by original producer, Mass Giorgini. That will also be available on iTunes/Spotify/Amazon on March 6th and we’re taking pre-orders for the CD now. It won’t be in stores until April-ish, but don’t let that stop you from peeping the new and improved cover art below:
