Crucial Update: New releases from Elway, Nothington, The Holy Mess + Red Scare Merch in the store!

First on the docket is Elway, our wacky woodsmen friends from Fort Collins, Colorado. Their debut album, Delusions, is out in May as you know, and they’ve got some cool shows lined up (Pouzza Fest in Montreal and Fireside Bowl in Chicago!) so check back for tour dates. We also recently released a “digital single” from Elway entitled Passing Days that offers three new songs from the boys, so go DL that thing or stream it on Elway’s Facebook page. It’s a tasty (and animal-friendly!) sampler of what you can expect from the new record.

And we go from one weird-looking band to an even kookier bunch: The Holy Mess. Their self-titled debut full length is set to be out June 14th. 11 songs and a big insert that offers up some stories and explanations for their wacky ways. Should be a good read. In spite of all their efforts, the hype keeps building for the Mess and they are getting tour offers from bands like Dead To Me, The Flatliners, Off With Their Heads, etc. A veritable runaway freight train of popularity, careening out of control…yeah. So get ready for their first proper record out in June and check the tour dates section for their upcoming shows.

And thirdly we have a new release from our old SF homeboys, Nothington. Those guys have been good buds with Red Scare since day one and we’re stoked that we finally get to cross the proverbial threshold together…if that makes sense. This new thing is a stripped-down, mostly acoustic release that they’ve dubbed More Than Obvious and it’ll be a 4-song 7″ and 6-song digital EP. That will be out in July and just in time for their Summer tour. We’re super excited for this one.

Last order of business. Look, you dumb bastards. For YEARS I took complaints and questions about the lack of Red Scare merch and now I’ve got these boxes in my home, directly in my stumbling path. This was your idea! Well the good news is the stuff looks great and now we’ve got a limited amount of Red Scare shirts and hoodies available in our webstore, or you can always order it from vastly more sober people at Interpunk.com.

Alright. Good update? Agreed!
