New music from Elway & The Holy Mess!
We at Red Scare are really looking forward to Spring and here’s why: Chicago could use a good thaw and we have some new music that we’re excited about. First we have the Red Scare debut from Fort Collins four-piece, Elway. They just wrapped up a recording session with Busch Light enthusiast Matt Allison at Atlas Studios (Alkaline Trio, The Menzingers, Less Than Jake) and they’ve titled the upcoming record, Delusions, which will be released on May 10th. You won’t have to wait that long to hear some of this new stuff because we hope to have an online single with some B-sides available in early April. That record is coming along real well and if you’re a fan of TLA, whiskey, and Propagandhi you will be stoked on these tunes. I should also mention that these crazy fuckers were honestly dumpster diving during the recording of this album, and hey, nothing breeds good punk rock like hunger and desperation. Right?!? Right.
And while were talking about depraved scumbags, we may as well announce our plans to work with Philly’s own…The Holy Mess! Great band, likable dudes, and VERY questionable hairstyles. They’re a perfect addition to the Red Scare family and we’re gonna start things out by releasing a collection of all their material so far. This self-titled release will include their first 12″, the Benefit Sesh 7″, and two new tracks for a total of 11 remastered righteous jams. It’s a perfect introduction to “The Mess” and we hope to follow that up with a new studio full length. Trust us, you’re gonna love this shit.
Now feast your eyes on these beauties:
